Dynamo Moscow is looking for a new head coach to replace Kirill Novikov after the club lost to Locomotive Tbilisi in the Europa League qualifying tournament yesterday, Russian media outlet Champion has reported.

The match ended with a 2:1 win for Tbilisi, and following which the Russian club was disqualified from the tournament.

Irakli Sikharulidze and Mamia Gavashelishvili scored goals from Locomotive Tbilisi, while Dynamo responded by Nikolai Komlichenko’s penalty kick.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia wrote: Bravo, Tbilisi Locomotive!

The last time Dynamo participated in European club competitions was the 2014/15 season.

The same evening Dynamo Tbilisi also defeated Welsh Connah’s Quay Nomads in the qualification tournaments to 1:0.
